The way his head snapped around makes me think he hit it.

It was clearly out. You could see the ball bounce, then hit the bat on the up, then deviate fairly drastically and a clean catch. Slow motion and the naked eye did the job. To confirm it the batsman did his little fake walk which to be fair, I admired a bit.
